(pumpkin-mascarpone cheesecake with whipped creme fraiche made by Eric)
I don’t have great beach pictures…I didn’t constantly carry my camera. With all the towels, toys, snacks, clothes, shoes, etc, the camera seemed the least of my worries. And I didn’t trust myself as scrambled over rocks and down into tidal pools to collect shells and other sea paraphernalia to keep my camera dry and in one piece. Those rocks are slick!
But we made it home with some lovely finds…
And I had a lovely time in a tent on the beach for my birthday!

How nice! What beach did you camp at? I didn’t know you could do that.
We camped at Salisbury Beach State Reservation. There are several spots you can camp on the beach here in the Northeast, and probably elsewhere. We had a great time. The facilities were nice and I think we went at a perfect time, there were not a lot of people crowding the beach, though the campsite was relatively full. The kids had a great time and I hope we will have many more opportunities to camp on the beach!
